My Favorite Bible Verse

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” - Proverbs 3:5

My Greatest Joy in working in a Christian School

Knowing that the staff, students, and parents have a common belief in Jesus Christ and that we can work together through Him.

I Love Trinity Academy because

I love the small school size and friendly atmosphere.

About Me

It’s gratifying to share my love of art, the universal language, with my students. I enjoy traveling and the students are really interested in seeing and learning about different countries and cultures.

The art program is offered in grades Kindergarten through five in forty-five minute sessions once a week. Our program seeks to provide age-appropriate experiences to meet academic standards and produce educated citizens who will value and support artistic achievements.

Students are introduced to the elements of art: line, shape, color, texture and space. They will use their knowledge of these elements in a variety of art work including drawing, painting, collage, mixed media and sculpture. Children will also be introduced to the care of art supplies and safe art room procedures.

The introduction to the elements of art continues. Artists such as Cassatt, Van Gogh, Renoir and Eric Carle help illustrate and enrich the learning objectives. Students will use their knowledge to paint pictures, make prints, collages, drawings, sculptures and textiles.
Students will continue to explore the elements and artists that demonstrate the learning objectives. Vocabulary takes on more importance. Knowledge of the elements are used in creating a variety of media including drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, print making, sculpture and textiles.
Students will expand upon their vocabulary and will be exposed to artists including Miro, Matisse and Rosseau and how they relate to line, shape, color, texture and space. The principals of design are introduced including variety, repetition, movement and balance.
Continuation and expansion of the elements of art and artists such as Kandinsky and Klee illustrate and enhance the learning objectives. The principals of design continue to be taught.
