 TRINITYACADEMY IS GOING HIGHER

Construction to add a new second story for 2013-14 school year .Trinity Academy is set to begin construction on an expansion that will add a second story to its school, grades pre-school through 8th grade, for the upcoming 2013-14 school year.  “Our enrollment has doubled over the last five years,” said Principal Alison Johnson “Now, we need more room to meet the demand we’re seeing for Christian education here in the St. Croix River Valley.”

The $1.3 million dollar expansion and renovation will add over 12,000 square feet including five classrooms, a new science lab / art room, new specialized learning room, additional bathrooms, and space for private music lessons.  The existing first floor will also undergo changes, including a new library / media center, a new school office and a reconfiguring of the pre-school to an early childhood wing.  The project also includes a new entrance to the school on 5th Street, a new security system, expanded parking and a drive through drop-off.  “Four years ago, TrinityAcademy added middle-school grades and we quickly ran out of space,” said Johnson. “There are many families in the Hudson area that are looking for another option for middle-school. This expansion will allow us to better serve them.”

Trinity has hired Derrick Building Solutions, LLC as general contractor and Architectural Network, Inc. as the architect for the project. The project is in the permitting phase with the intention of construction beginning late this Spring. Trinity Lutheran Church conducted a successful capital campaign during the Fall of 2012 to fund the expansion project with pledged commitments totaling over $1.4 million. This major expansion will also benefit several of Trinity Lutheran Church’s ministries, including a large, new dedicated space for its Youth Ministry. “Trinity regularly has up to 150 teens for Wednesday night confirmation and worship,” said Executive Pastor Todd Stocker. “Helping teens form a strong relationship with God has eternal value.  Our youth ministry is a key component of our mission of making disciples of all nations.”

TrinityAcademy (www.trinityacademyofhudson.org) is located on the west side of Trinity Lutheran Church on the corner of 5th and St. Croix Streets in Hudson, Wisconsin. TrinityAcademy was established in 1995 and currently serves 165 students in Grades K-8 and an additional 200 children in pre-school and childcare. Welcome!

Greetings from Trinity Academy. Through our expansion to elementary and now middle school we have remained true to our mission and philosophy that stress academic excellence within an environment that fosters the development of a personal relationship with Christ, a love of learning and a Christian education that is woven throughout the daily experience. We are excited that you are considering us as your partner in education. Trinity is accredited through the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Association.

It is a privilege and a pleasure to serve as principal of this school. I look forward to our continued partnership as we work together to reach the hearts and challenge the minds of our students.
